In this warm and funny, comedy drama, Gauthier, a handsome soap opera TV star visits Serge, a retired stage actor, to convince him to join a production of Molière Le Misanthrope, with him. A sneaky power struggle ensues about who will play the lead role. It takes place on the Ile de Ré, a picturesque island on the west coast of France. Molière’s characters are relevant in our society today. Art imitates life and life informs art. The film received 3 Cesar Awards.
