This funny and delicious movie follows the adventures in Paris of a self-taught aspiring chef with talent and a famous chef in danger of losing one star, his reputation and his beloved restaurant. Fate brings them together and helps them along a journey through the world of French cuisine, family relationships, romance, and the threat of modern restaurant industry undermining the art of living “à la française”.
The bilingual introduction and the discussion will be led by Hélène Laroche Davis, Professor of Film Studies.
